Leila d’Angelo is:
A London-based, story unearthing, tone of voice forming, positioning shaker, start-up mentor, sphynx cat owner and brand strategist.
If you read nothing else:
I live for big questions and bigger challenges.
Can you convince 150 brands to unite under one identity? How do you build a creative studio and strategy that can serve a start-up growing 50% YOY? How should a global lifestyle brand react authentically to the BLM movement?
Every business I’ve worked with has presented a unique set of challenges, and yet they all ask for the same thing: to balance commercial goals with customer needs, brand experience and values with efficiency and scalability.
I believe that when you get the balance right, when your business and brand are in true alignment, you create something that customers and talent can buy into, not just buy.
I have spent my career focused on this fundamental balance – helping businesses move towards alignment, authentically navigate the many challenges they face and understand the human truths, both internal and external, behind the opportunity for growth.

What folks are saying
“Leila knows exactly how to put into words what you already know, but don't know how to say. She can perfectly extract the key things that epitomise your business and word it in a way that is personal and meaningful, to both the people who work for the company, and the people who use the products.”
— Richard (Head of Marketing, Minut)
“Leila knows exactly how to extract the bits of your business that matter to your customers and transform it into a succinctly articulated and powerful mission-led brand. I've been recommending her to anyone needing help in branding or positioning.”
— Tram (CEO, TaxScouts)
“Leila is a marketing and brand genius who is helping us get to the next step by sharpening our messaging, visuals and commercial strategy. She quickly gave us invaluable (and not at all hard to hear) feedback. I’m re-energised on our mission every time we speak.”
— Melissa (CEO, The Honeycomb Works)
“Leila has a great combination of quickly getting the vision and the space, and being able to convert that to something actionable that the team can deliver and can have an impact on growth.”
— Victor (CEO, Plum)
How it works
Understanding You.
The first priority is to understand the business, the industry, your challenges and most importantly why you’re doing what you’re doing. Most often it looks like a workshop, sometimes it’s interviews, often it includes trying out the product.
Strategising.
Then we start figuring out how to tackle your challenges – whether it’s what KPI to focus your business around or how to get your comms team motivated. This is, hopefully, where the ‘a ha’ moments start happening.
Implementation.
What this phase looks like depends on your challenges. Sometimes it’s a complete visual rebrand or even a new name, sometimes it’s more about creating a roadmap for your comms team.
